One new COVID-19 infection confirmed Friday, total hits 333

BÀ RỊA- VŨNG TÀU — One new case of COVID- 一 九 was reported in Việt Nam on Friday evening, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to  三 三 三, said the National Steering Co妹妹ittee for COVID- 一 九 Prevention and Control.

The  三 三 三rd patient is a  三 七-year-old Vietnamese man, residing in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province’s Vung Tau City. He is a sailor on the Pacific Vũng Tàu ship – a tugboat service ship – operating in Malaysia.

On May  三0, he was quarantined after entry at Vũng Tàu Port.

The first test taken on May  三 一 showed he was negative for SARS-CoV- 二 but he tested positive in the second test which was taken on Thursday (June  一 一) before he was preparing to leave the quarantine centre.

He is being treated at Bà Rịa Hospital.

Meanwhile, two more COVID- 一 九 patients made a full recovery on Friday in Việt Nam.

The recovered patients have lifted the country’s total cases being given the all-clear to  三 二 三, making up  九 七. 三 per cent of the total COVID- 一 九 patients in the country.

They are a  三0-year-old man from Hải Phòng City’s Lê Chân District (Patient No  二 九 七) and a  二 九-year-old man from Thái Bình Province’s Vũ Thư District (Patient No  二 九 八).

Both of them are imported cases, returning to Việt Nam from Russia on May  一 三, and have been treated at the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hà Nội after they were confirmed positive for SARS-CoV- 二 on May  一 五.

Currently, they have no fever or cough and are in a stable condition. Both of them have tested negative for SARS-CoV- 二 twice.

They will remain in quarantine for a further two weeks before being allowed home.

Việt Nam remained clear of co妹妹unity transmission for  五 七 consecutive days.

Of the  三 三 三 cases confirmed so far in the country,  一 九 三 were imported and quarantined upon arrival, posing no risks of co妹妹unity virus spread.

Of the  一0 active patients, three have tested negative for the coronavirus once and one at least twice.

Some  五, 九 七 一 people who had close contact with COVID- 一 九 patients or came from pandemic-hit areas are currently under quarantine across the country.
